What’s the Best Way to get rid of your Christmas Tree?

Dec 29, 2010 by Lisa Newton

Why recycle it of course.

Starting today through January 15th, 2011, residents throughout Los Angeles County can recycle their Christmas trees by placing them curbside during regular garbage collection days, or by taking them to a collection site near you.

To find the nearest location, the LA Department of Public Works has a great list.

All of the disposed trees will be recycled into compost, mulch, or ground cover.

Don’t forget to remove all of the Christmas Tree’s ornaments, tinsels, nails, containers, and tree stands. Unless otherwise noted, flocked trees are accepted.
