Unique LA is this Weekend

Dec 07, 2010 by Lisa Newton

The Holiday season is now here and as Christmas and the New Year is closer and closer upon us, shopping is on everyone’s mind. But where can you go to get that one-of-a-kind gift for that someone special in your life?

Unique LA, of course!

Billed as “the largest independent design show in the country,” the 3rd Annual Unique LA Holiday Show, will feature over 300 hand-selected designers and artists, whom you can actually meet and greet.

This makes it easy for you to buy local and support LA’s economy. Unique LA will take place on Saturday and Sunday, December 11th and 12th, so you’ll have two full days to browse the booths, discover great designs and deals and have fun at the same time.

The 0.00 entrance fee will provide everyone that attends with unlimited access for both days of the show. Also there will be t:

  • Free drinks and a hosted bar (IZZE, Honest Tea, Dry Soda, Function, and cocktails by ROOT)
  • Your very own collectible tote bag, exclusive to each show… The Holiday artist is secret for now, but the spring tote was designed by LA graphic designer Keith Scharwath!
  • Free eco-workshops and cool handmade activities through the weekend, brought to you by Your Daily Thread , 826LA and Common Thread Studio.
  • Family/Kids creativity zone and seating area
  • Access to giveaways and door prizes all weekend long
  • Souvenir copy of the Vendor Directory + Mini Magazine

So for a fun, quality, and fun Holiday shopping experience this weekend, head over to the California Market Center’s Penthouse at 110 East 9th Street, in downtown LA, from 11:00am until 6:00pm.

Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes as I’m sure you’ll be doing lots of walking, browsing, buying, and merrymaking!

Ooh, I’m going to try to make it to this. I went to Unique OC (based on your write up) and had such a ball. I found a ton of great stuff, all reasonably priced.
