The Place to shop next weekend in Los Angeles

Apr 18, 2010 by Lisa Newton

So many things to get, so little time. Maybe you’re looking for that special blouse and cool pair of jeans you’ve been wanting to purchase for yourself. Maybe you’ve been invited to a June wedding, and want to get the perfect gift for the bride and groom, but have no idea what to purchase, or where to purchase it at.

And, around the bend, don’t forget that Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 9th, so you’re eager to buy that perfect item for either your mother or mother-in-law.

Living in the shopping Mecca of the world, Los Angeles, we can usually buy or obtain virtually anything here that we want or want to have.

But where can you go to get all of these gifts in one location, and spread some LA love around at the same time–

At the 2nd Annual UNIQUE LA Spring Show

This upcoming weekend, on April 24th and 25th, shoppers get a rare opportunity to “meet and shop directly from over 300 hand-selected designers and artists.”

95% of their featured products are made in the USA, making it a truly “Buy Local” and “Buy USA” proud institution. Let’s face it; we do make the best products and services when we put our minds to it.

Here’s some of what you’ll be able to find and buy at the 2nd Annual UNIQUE LA Spring Show

Shopping is only part of this experience. The annual UNIQUE LA Spring Show will also host free workshops, an eco lounge, and two cafes that are hosting LA’s best restaurants and gourmet food trucks.

Admission is $10.00, and for that you’ll receive:

  • Free drinks & a hosted bar (IZZE, Honest Tea, water, beer, UNIQUE cocktails)
  • Unlimited re-entry for both days
  • Your very own collectible tote bag, exclusive to each show designed by LA graphic designer Keith Scharwath!
  • Free eco workshops and cool handmade activities all weekend
  • Family/Kids creativity zone and seating areas
  • Access to giveaways and door prizes
  • A souvenir copy of the Vendor Directory + Mini Magazine

UNIQUE LA also partners annually with another non-profit organization which they donate a portion of their proceeds.

This year, they’re committed to Ed Begley Jr’s non-profit organization, GreenWish. GreenWish helps local organizations fund green and eco-friendly projects for their communities.

UNIQUE LA will be open both Saturday and Sunday, from 11am-6pm, at the California Market Center’s Penthouse, located at 110 East 9th Street, in downtown Los Angeles.

Be there or be square!
