Part of their fourth album, which is one of the best-selling albums in all music history, with sales approaching 37 million, Going to California, was a collaboration between Plant and Page.

In an interview Robert Plant gave to Spin magazine in 2002:

Plant stated that the song "might be a bit embarrassing at times lyrically, but it did sum up a period of his life when he was 22. Source: Wikipedia

Led Zeppelin is considered the one of the top rock bands of all time. Let’s sit back and enjoy the song:

Led Zeppelin created a myth, members larger than life, and a oeuvre of songs that stand the test of time–there will never be another band like it due to its blend of Rock, Blues, and experimentation. Only the Beatles and The Rolling Stones, are in the same category.

Their connection to California and Los Angeles, makes for an entire series of articles–but for today, let’s just enjoy this iconic song.
