See Love, Loss, and What I Wore – Before it’s too Late

Oct 20, 2010 by Lisa Newton

After a seven month run at the Audrey Skirball Kenis Theater, at the Geffin, Nora and Delia Ephron’s scripted play Love, Loss, and What I Wore, weaves an intimate collection of stories by women, about women, from women.

Although, that description covers the gamut of mankind, what is particularly appealing about this play–is the highly personalized issue of women–without being politically correct or not being true to the writers and directors vision.

The last date to see it at the Geffen Playhouse, is November 19th.

I highly recommend seeing this play–it’s funny, sad, true, and simultaneously will make you think, all at the same time and that is a fairly infrequent occurrence for most.

The final cast includes:

  • Two-time Emmy Award winner Sally Struthers well-known for her longtime role on All in the Family
  • Academy Award nominee Teri Garr recognized for her classic roles in Tootsie and Close Encounters of the Third Kind
  • Veteran actress Mimi Rogers whose films range from Someone to Watch Over Me to Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery
  • LA-based radio personality, author and actress Sandra Tsing Loh
  • Indie-film actress Marianna Palka, who recently appeared in the Sundance film Good Dick which she also wrote and directed

If you haven’t seen this play, make sure to go to the Geffen before November 19th. It’s the perfect Girl’s Night Out!
