Mapping Los Angeles Stores for Christmas

Shopping

Mapping Los Angeles Stores’ for Christmas serves to honor the annual activity which is part of our local and national culture; and an annual activity that many locals practice year round, by day, week, weekend, month, and so forth.

Nevertheless, as Christmas gets closer–and closer—the time honored tradition of last minute Christmas shopping, no doubt, will occur once again. Which begets an original question–where can you find unique and one-of-a-kind gifts?

Which demands an answer to the question–where can you find unique and one-of-a-kind gifts? Two years ago, Los Angeles Magazine compiled a list of 25 Top One-stop Gift Shops.

Of those 25, 23 are still open and doing business:

8-Ball

A+R

Algabar

Bar Keeper

Firefly

Fitzsu Society

Giant Robot/GR2

Handmade Galleries

Hey Kookla

Kelly Green Design + Home

Lula Mae

OK

Plastica

Pulp

Rafu Bussan

Realm

ReForm School

Skyblupink

Soap Plant/Wacko

Taschen

Turpan

Tortoise

Uncle Jer’s

These shops feature local artists, local handcrafted items, books, quality, special, and unique products and specialty items—which are fun, and probably perfect for the one person on your list that has everything—or just about.

Therefore, to make your Christmas shopping a bit easier and accessible, I’ve created the Mapping Los Angeles Stores for Christmas Map:
