Kimera’s New Menu Brings Fresh Taste to Irvine

Tucked within Corporate Irvine’s towering office buildings, Kimera proudly sits, providing patrons a night-time oasis of style, subtle sophistication, and delicious gourmet snacks.

Kimera belongs to the Dining as Art Collection® restaurant series, owned and run by the Ghoukassian family. Kimera is a chic restaurant and lounge with a flair for simple, clever cuisine.

A good friend of mine invited me to the celebratory semi-private tasting event on a week-day evening in October to commemorate Kimera’s new bill of fare. Kimera’s new menu offers fabulous drinks and bites at affordable prices.

The celebration was a can’t-miss event. Excited guests filled the restaurant. Smiling waiters and waitresses greeted attendees at the door and offered fresh drinks and hot samples from the new menu.

The bar poured red wine, sparkling white wine, and mixed drinks for guests. Waiters cheerfully assisted attendees at the buffet style food arrangement designed exclusively for the event. The plates and beverages were delectably exquisite.

I sampled the margarita pizza, corn hush puppies, and mac “n” cheese. I am a long-time fan of Kimera’s margarita pizza with its warm crust, sweet tomatoes, fresh cheese, and basil. I was particularly smitten by the new gourmet mac “n” cheese with zesty peppers and rich white cheese sauce. The Meyer’s all natural beef and short rib “sloppy joe” sliders were a huge hit. I saw guests appear for thirds and fourths at the slider section.

Beyond the food, Kimera is well-known for its fresh style and design. The general layout of the venue is alluring, modern, and trendy. Kimera’s djs mirror the restaurant’s panache with exhilarating mixes of current and retro pop tunes.

Kimera’s revamped menu is delicious and affordable. The celebratory tasting event was exquisite and exciting. Guests stayed late into the week-day night enjoying the richness and ambiance of the occasion.

Siblings Karyn and Marc Ghoukassian hosted an outstanding event. Kimera’s reputation for excellent food, superb drinks, and exceptional evenings lives on.
