Commemorating September 11th, 2001 in Santa Monica

Sep 11, 2010 by Lisa Newton

Nine years ago today, I was at work in a small private school and happened to be standing in the office. Just outside the door was a TV waiting to be picked up by a classroom teacher.

It was turned on to the local news. As I stood there and watch the events that changed the world as we knew it, life would never be the same again.

Of course, I’m referring to the September 11th, 2001.

A few days ago, as I was walking on Ocean Front Walk in Santa Monica, when I discovered a small restaurant called “Carousel Café” that has its own way of paying tribute to the 9/11 tragedy.

I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves:

Dedicated To the over 3,000 People who were murdered on American Soil Sept 11, 2001, the brave first responders who risked and lost their lives to save them, the New York Fire Department, and all the brave deeds that were done to protect our nation by our fellow Americans.

May they all rest in peace
