CicLAvia (No cars Allowed) will be held on April 10th
This past October, the first fun and communal CicLAvia event took place.
In case you don’t know what CicLAvia is, it’s a day when certain streets are all closed for motor vehicles—no cars allowed!
Along the 7 mile route in the map below, only bikes, pedestrians, skateboarders, skaters, and any other type of non-motorized mode of transportation are invited to share the streets together.
The October 10th, CicLAvia was so successful there’s another one planned for Sunday, April 10th, 2011.
The route is still the same. It starts at Hollenbeck Park in Boyle Heights and extends to East Hollywood:
